About Plus Jakarta Sans

Designed by Gumpita Rahayu of Tokotype for the Jakarta city government's branding programme, then released open source and adopted worldwide. It sits between geometric and humanist: circular shapes softened with subtle ink traps and open counters, so it feels contemporary without turning cold. Startups use it as a fresher alternative to Poppins. It works from hero headlines down to interface labels; pair it with a workhorse serif when long-form reading enters the picture.
