FontFinder is an independent font identification tool operated at www.afontfinder.com. This policy explains what we collect, how advertising and analytics work on this site, and the choices you have. Questions can be sent to contact@afontfinder.com.

FontFinder does not require an account. When you use the font identification tool, your uploaded image is processed in memory to detect fonts and is never stored on our servers. We also collect: anonymous usage analytics (page views, tool interactions, referring page, browser and device type, approximate country); standard server logs (IP address, timestamp, requested URL) retained briefly for security and abuse prevention; and, if you use the contact form, the name, email address and message you submit.

Image data is used solely to perform font identification and is discarded immediately after processing. Analytics data is used to understand usage patterns and improve FontFinder. Contact form data is used only to answer your enquiry. Advertising data is used by Google and its partners to select, deliver and measure the ads shown on this site. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties except as described below.

We use essential cookies to operate the site, analytics cookies to understand how it is used, and advertising cookies to fund it. Specifically:

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to FontFinder or other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies — including the DoubleClick DART cookie — enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
• Third-party vendors and ad networks other than Google may also serve ads on this site and use their own cookies to do so.

Each service processes data under its own privacy policy. Uploaded images are used only to fulfil your font identification request and are not retained afterwards.

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process data on the following bases: legitimate interests for security logging and operating the font identification tool; consent for analytics and advertising cookies, collected through our cookie banner; and legitimate interests for responding to messages you send us voluntarily.

Uploaded images and URLs are not retained — they exist only for the duration of the request. Server logs are retained for up to 30 days. Analytics data may be retained for up to 14 months. Contact form messages are retained only as long as needed to resolve your enquiry.

If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your personal data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time using the footer's "Privacy and cookie settings" link. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

If you are a California resident, the CCPA/CPRA gives you the right to know what personal information is collected, to request its deletion, to correct it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. FontFinder does not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA. You can limit advertising cookies through our banner or Google Ads Settings.

To exercise any of these rights, email contact@afontfinder.com. We respond within 30 days and will not discriminate against you for exercising them.

FontFinder is served from a global CDN, and our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where data leaves the EEA or the UK, those providers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent approved transfer mechanism.

FontFinder is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of FontFinder constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
