About Fraunces

Fraunces, by Undercase Type, is a soft, deliberately wonky old-style display serif inspired by early 20th-century faces like Windsor and Cooper. Its variable axes are the fun part: SOFT rounds the corners and WONK toggles crooked, hand-drawn alternates, letting one file range from polite to eccentric. It has become the face of food brands, cafes and playful editorial design. Use it big, embrace the quirk, and pair it with a plain geometric sans for grounding.
