About Crimson Text

Sebastian Kosch began Crimson Text as a free answer to classic book faces in the Garamond and Caslon tradition, aimed squarely at scholarly and literary typesetting. It has real text-face manners: modest contrast, narrow set width and unobtrusive detailing that disappears into comfortable reading. It is a strong choice for essays, theses and documentation sites that want a print feel. Set it at 18px and up for screens, and pair it with a restrained humanist sans for interface elements.
