About Merriweather

Eben Sorkin designed Merriweather specifically for comfortable reading on screens: a large x-height, sturdy slab-like serifs and open letterforms that survive small sizes and cheap displays. It is one of the most-used body text serifs on the web for exactly that reason. It reads as trustworthy and a little traditional, suiting news sites, documentation and essays. Pair it with its sibling Merriweather Sans, or with a clean grotesque, and keep line length near 65 to 75 characters.
